There is no art school that has had a greater influence on the shaping of art in Australia than The Sydney Art School / Julian Ashton Art School which was founded in 1890

Our students by their works and their example have raised standards of draughtsmanship and sound practice both here and overseas.

The school is rightly proud of the achievements of the Alumni of the school, some have become household names and thousands over the years have come away from the door of the school with a deeper appreciation of the beauty of the world around them and the knowledge required to make their contribution to the wonderful world of art.
