Krista Brennan is a Sydney-born artist who studied at the Julian Ashton Art School for 6 years. She enjoys working in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolour, ink, graphite and digital. Her passion for art stems from a desire to observe, understand and communicate with the world around her in the direct, intense and honest way visual art affords. She received the Dobell Scholarship at Julian Ashton Art School for the year 2010, and has been awarded the R. & W. Ashton Art Prize in 2008 and 2009. In 2010 and 2011 she was a finalist in the prestigious A.M.E. Bale Travelling Scholarship, and in 2011 she was a finalist in the Portia Geach Portrait exhibition.
Currently Krista works as a freelance illustrator and fine artist, producing privately commissioned portraits, illustrations for books, posters, albums and card games.
