Regarding Coronavirus Pandemic:

Dear teacher or current student at the Julian Ashton Art School,

The School is very concerned regarding the threat posed by Coronavirus (COVID-19) to all at the School and the community generally. The School has taken, and will continue to take, all precautionary measures, as recommended, mandated and directed by both the NSW Government and the Federal Government regarding Covid-19. We continue to monitor advice from the NSW Government and the other authorities daily. In an overabundance of caution for the interests of students and staff we have made the following decision:

In consideration of the above, it has been decided to close the school term classes from Thursday March 19th 2020, until further notice. This means that the last classes before closure will be held on Wednesday Evening the 18th of March 2020.

This decision will be reviewed from time to time and we will keep you informed as the situation evolves.
Yours Sincerely,
Paul Delprat
Principal

Congratulations to Alumna Lucy Pulvers

Our Alumni continue to receive accolades nationally and internationally!

From Scholar Alumna Lucy Pulvers;

“I wanted to let you know that I have just had the news from London that three of my painting have been accepted in the 208th Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours exhibit, held in April this year at the Mall Galleries. I had one painting accepted last year and was invited again this year to enter.

I have attached photos of the three accepted paintings.

I would be very happy if you could let Jo Lemon know of this news and to thank her very much for all she taught me in watercolours. Without her guidance, this achievement would not have been possible.

I am so grateful to the Julian Ashton School for everything I have been taught by Jo Lemon, Murray Bird, Merrin Woods and Jessica Ashton, in particular.

Thank you to you, Paul and Sue. ”
