The exhibition will be hosted at the
Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts,
Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney.
The exhibition is open to the public from 12 – 2 pm daily,
from Monday, 26th November to Thursday, 6th December 2012.
Closed weekends

Exhibition Opening Night 2012

On Sunday, November 25, the Annual Student and Teacher Exhibition was officially opened by Dr. John Olsen AO, OBE. In attendance were many artists and art lovers, mingling together in appreciation of the exceptional offering of work this year.

The standard of work submitted for prizes and scholarships was very high and all students were commended for their efforts.
Scholarships were awarded to the following students:
Sean Hutton, Sir William Dobell Scholarship;
Daniel de Groen, John Olsen Scholarship;
Rosalind McElvey Bunting, Brett Whiteley Scholarship;
Susan Turtan-Heslin, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Full-time Scholarship;
Jan Pretorius, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Part-time Scholarship;
Megan Buckley, Portrait Artists of Australia Scholarship;
Clarissa de Castro-Lima, Thea Proctor Scholarship.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make another excellent show.

Exhibition Opening Night 2011

On Sunday, November 27th the Julian Ashton Art School celebrated the opening of its Annual Exhibition. Many were in attendance to admire the fine selection of works on display, showcasing the best of student and teacher works alike. The afternoon was opened by Dr. Timothy Pascoe AM.

Prizes were awarded to works of an exceptional standard, and scholarships were presented to the following students:
Sasha White, Sir William Dobell Scholarship;
Rosemary Kringas, Brett Whiteley Scholarship;
Janelle Thomas, John Olsen Scholarship;
Adam Giles, Portrait Artists Australia Scholarship;
Gus Carrozza, Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts Scholarship;
and Kathryn Tarowski, Thea Proctor Scholarship.
